Insist they are planning to quit

Any smoker has this annoying habit of telling you how hard he or she is trying to quit and they just can't give it up. It is annoying because you already know that they have no plans to quit.

Ask you to borrow a lighter

Your smoker friend or co-worker will always ask you for 'light' and then come to the divine realisation, 'oh, you don't smoke'. Do you really have any reason to carry a lighter around with you?

Snap at you and blame it on nicotine drags

Women often use their PMS as an excuse to snap at their partner or friends. Smokers do the same thing when they are pretending to quit. They just snap at you and say how they 'badly needed a smoke' at that time.

Ask you for chewing gum or mint

Why will you be carrying chewing gum when they are the one who stink of tobacco all the time? And why on earth should you share your after-lunch mint with them when they cannot have the sense to carry their own?

You just spent some cash getting your car cleaned and spruced up with some fragrance. Now here comes your friend and ruins it all by lighting a cigarette in your car.
