Leading an active life is important for every body – physical and mental. Similarly sleep is equally important to maintain good health. Many a times we tend to compromise on our sleep in order to complete a certain piece of work. It is a bad idea as sleep is the time when the body rejuvenates itself for a fresh of round activity. Along with sleep come dreams and the facts about dreams which reveal a new dimension.
First and foremost the question arises is that why do we dream. Dreams are mostly reflections of our imaginations, our activities throughout the day, incidences in our lives, people we have met and our thoughts.

Basically it has everything to do with our little brains that work at superfast speed within those couple of shut-eyes times. Dreams may appear to be simple or complicated but they do carry many interesting facts with them.

We can have six to seven dreams in a night: On an average a person sleeps for around seven to eight hours every night. Within this duration a human mind is capable for dreaming up some six to seven dreams. However, these dreams do not occur throughout the night. It is only when one is in very deep sleep that dreams occur.
We forget most of our dreams: How many of your dreams have you been able to recall? Not many. No matter how many number of dreams we have every night we tend to forget most of them. It is a rather surprising phenomenon but true. Most of the dreams are lost.
Not all dreams are colorful: There may be times when we are able to recall our dream but then are we able to recall the color schemes? Try it for yourself. Maximum number of times we will fail to recall what color we saw our dream in and that can be because most of the dreams are colorless.
We cannot dream while snoring: This is quite an interesting fact about dreams that one is not able to dream while snoring. People normally snore when in deep sleep and at the same time we dream when sleeping soundly but still snoring and dreams do not go hand in hand.
Negative emotions are predominant: Researches have revealed that dreams comprise of various emotions that a human can experience. However, among all emotions it is the negative one that takes the center stage. Negative emotions are said to rule the dream world in maximum cases.
Blind people also dream: It is not necessary that we have to see something to dream. Even blind people have the ability to dream. For those who were born blind the dreams are often a reflection of senses like touch, sound, taste and smell.
Different dreams for different genders: It is true that men and women are different and so are their dreams. Women are said to have dreams of longer durations and they dream of both sexes while men mostly dream of men.
With so many interesting facts the world of dreams is completely different from the one we live in. Although it exists well within our brains we are yet so elusive about them. There are so many more facts about dreams that still need to be revealed.
