When we speak about phobias, there are a lot of people who have strange phobias. These strange phobias which have become a common thing in the present have led people to fearful lives. When you have a strange fear towards something, you worry of the fact whether that fear will kill you or not. There are hundreds of people who are afraid of 'the waters', for many reasons. One of the common reasons as to why people fear water is that they get the feeling that the water will engulf them completely. When you fear water, you should either try to compete with it or stay away from it.

Water is considered to be one of the worst way in which you can die. People who succumb to the jaws of water have a very painful death. This form of death which is considered the worst way to die should not be thought of even for your worst enemy. Through the years, due to natural calamities, a lot of people die because of oceanic water and circumstances. For those who have survived the jaws of this painful death via water have been merciful to life.

Hypothermia

This is a condition in which our body temperature drops below the required temperature for normal metabolism and body functions. Looking into the past, we draw an example from the Titanic. It is because of Hypothermia that a lot of people succumbed to death.

Tsunami

This is one of the most dreadful natural calamities where a lot of people have lost their lives through the years. There is no escape from this way in which water can kill you.

Poisoning

Apart from food poisoning, water poisoning has increased rapidly. There are a lot of people who have passed away due to the simple reason of water poisoning.

Waterborne Diseases

In countries like India, waterborne diseases can kill you. Diseases like cholera where one drinks contaminated water and succumbs to death.

Avalanche

Around 90 percent of deaths are due to asphyxiation. If you find yourself caught in an Avalanche and if you manage to carve out a little air space around your face as the slide grinds to a halt, the heat from your breath will soon ice up that lifesaving air cavity thus killing you. This is one of the worst ways in which water can kill you.

Holding in your urine

We all need to drink water in order to survive. But there is something else which is important as well, urination. If we do not urinate, it will lead to severe problems, even proved to be fatal. You may not know, but controlling your urine for a long time will lead to kidney failure! Therefore this is one of the ways in which water can kill you.

Electrocution

You may have heard from your elders not to touch any socket with your wet hands, as this will cause an electrocution. The current which passes through you will be so severe that it will leave you lifeless and dead.
