Spice Digital Limited, one of India"s leading VAS (Value Added Services) companies has won the Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2011 in the categories of mLearning and mEntertainment. The Union Minister of State for Communications and IT, Mr. Sachin Pilot presented the awards to the winners at the event held in Mumbai. The Aegis Graham Bell Awards had 5 categories to cater to - Innovation in Edutainment & Media, Best in Class, Special Contribution awards, Aegis Bell Scholar for students and Special Award Category for the year 2011.

Aegis has established Aegis Graham Bell Award and scholarships as a tribute to the father of the telephony, Sir Alexander Graham Bell. This Award is intended to promote innovation, entrepreneurship in field of TIME (Telecom, Internet, Media & Edutainment) and to provide recognition for outstanding contributions in this field. This property intends to hunt the potential best brains that can be groomed as leaders and scholars in communication field.

The Jury members included Mr. Chandan Sonowal, Director, Aegis (Bangalore); Mr. Rajan Mathews, Director- General (COAI); Mr. Narayanan Madhavan, Associate Editor, Hindustan Times; Mr. Amol Masurkar, Principal Consultant, PwC; Mr. Satyen Gupta, Member of Committee for PM Address Allocation Policy, Government of India; Mr. Subho Ray, President, IAMAI and Dr. Manish Gupta, Head (Innovation, IBM).
