Employees spending time shopping online at work can be frustrating for employers, but experts suggest that a little time out from work might not affect workers" performances. Rather it shows better results.

When employees spend over 40 hours a week at work, it's no surprise that they turn to their office computers to get some holiday shopping done. Rather than seeing it as a disturbing element, the employers should turn their attention till the time it hampers performance outcomes.

If an employee spends an hour surfing the internet, but an entire weekend working on a report, the employers should see it positively. Humans are not machines and they do need breaks.
