Thejesh looked like a geek who would just wrap you in his web of Techi knowledge and enchant you with his powerful information. Today, this young man who has been working for Infosys (Bangalore) for the past six years is making his trip to Helsinki the capital city of Finland, to be a part of Nokia Workshop, 'Open Lab' from September 11th - 14th. Here is his story of success and the fair play of destiny, that made him and the Bangaloreans proud.

A few weeks back life of Thejesh was just like any other normal day until he received a mail from Nokia stating that he had been shortlisted to go to Finland to attend a workshop. First he thought it was some kind of a prank. He believed it only when he was sent flight tickets by the company. He said, "I got a mail from Nokia saying I had been shortlisted to go to Finland and that they really liked. I was astounded."

Millions of people blog everyday, about their day to day affair or some serious business that could make them churn money and interact with people from all over the globe. In India although people started blogging 7-8 years back it came into lime light only when Bollywood celebrities like Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan used it as a platform to interact with their fans.

For Thejesh, the story of blogging started five years back, when he was working as an analyst with Infosys. His first blog was called 'eventsbangalore.net'. When asked about the reason choosing such an interest he smiles with accomplishment and says, " I love meeting and interacting with varied kind of people from all around the globe, and this was the fine platform I could think of.... The blog was born out of requirement than passion at the beginning. Today nearly 1500 people visit my blog everyday and 15 people contribute to the growth of the site." He adds, "One of the best thing I could do with the site was to raise some valuable funds online to CRY."

28 years old, Thejesh is now looking forward to meet 35 people from all over the globe with an age group of 22- 52. One of the prime person he would be meeting in the workshop would be Adam Greenfield, Nokia's head of design direction for user interface and services. He says that the workshops hopes to present the inspirations, ideas and goals of a mixture of social participants who utilize the technologies every day. The workshop would be a platform to see where these ideas can be taken and can be made a reality, for everyone to benefit from.

As the session heats up with varied techie topics, he raises a simple question, "Have you ever noticed a small dot or a bar on the 'key 5' on your mobile handset? Do you know the reason behind it." When I was trying to find out the reason tossing the handset upside down, he answered, "its simple the number 5 is right in th mid of the keypad. This helps the blind man to feel and press the buttons accordingly to make a call. The taught did not need a research on technology all that it needed was just an idea that could help even a disabled user. This idea is followed by every other handsets in the world. May be thats the reason why I am being flown from one part of the wold to another."

Thejesh does not have a strategy to steal the show in the workshop but he does has the passion to give and take maximum ideas to grow as an individual and help others grow too. For more information on his trip to Helsinki visit his blog thejeshgn.com.
