A Ghazal Evening Awaits The Bangloreans

The ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh will be performing in Bangalore on Saturday 1st December 2007 at Koramangala Indoor Stadium. There is a huge rush for tickets at the last moment as Jagjitji is known for surprising the audience by starting the ghazal from their second lines and onto their classical mode repeating a single word on and on.

The radio channel Fever 104 is up into the topic by offering free tickets through simple competitions. Fever 104 has currently conducted the live concert of A.R.Rahman at New Delhi and enabled many of its listeners to watch the performance in a luxury ambience.

This is not the first time live concert of Jagjit Singh at Bangalore. He had been in the IT city with his music a programme at several times; last being his performance in December 2006. On his last performance at Bangalore, his troupe included a flute player, a player at dholak, violin, keyboard, one at tabla and another old artist who was both vocalist as well as a tabla player. The ghazal included Hazaaron Khwahishen Aisee, Koi Fariyad, Main Nashe mein hoon, Tera Chehra Kitana suhana lagtaa hain, Tere baare mein jab socha nahi tha, Tere aane ki Jab khabar mehke, Hothon se Choo lo tum, Tumko Dekha to Yeh Khayal Aaya, Kal Chaudavi Ki Raat thee, Sawariyan Balam padharo re mahare Desh, Tere Kushboo.
