Travel to the unknown land of God...Contd

By Super

The effect was so very different and it cannot be described in words. Words come short of the feelings that I want to express. The only thing is that the feelings and the state of my mind were going through a complete new phase - A phase that had never happened to me before. The chilly weather, the clouds, the soft chant of the god, people walking, and the tired feet heading forward to the place seemed all a call from god. As if God was there somewhere near and was giving me the drive and strength to move. When I saw my grandmother moving forward with the same zest, the feeling became stronger. The hills, the greenery, the rocks, the white dhatura flower all symbolized the presence of lord Shiva, the ultimate POWER.

When we reached half way, we were all overcome by fatigue. We ate some food, and began to walk. Suddenly drops of rain blurred my vision and we all got wet. In fact, none of us had even the energy to put on our raincoat. Though I was cold and tired, I wanted desperately to reach the destination. A perception of the whole surrounding and the things around was totally unique. I felt a strong presence of god that was driving us ahead. Then suddenly I spot the temple, no not the temple but its ceiling. It was an exquisite experience when I realised that I was close to my destination. We walked faster as we realised that we were approaching our destination.

Finally we reached the place! Phew! What an experience that was!

I could see a beautiful temple made only of rocks and engulfed with snow-capped mountains. It was a sight never seen before and I think I will never see it again. I believe that even an atheist will begin to believe in the presence of god after seeing such a beautiful sight. It was like Lord Shiva was sitting and we were in his lap. He was all over. It was splendid and I was thrilled. The whole travel and the way to the land of this unknown world was totally mind blowing and I was overwhelmed. The view of the whole scenario, the blue sky with cotton like clouds scattered all over, the mountain peaks touching the sky and the snow separating the sky seemed like a separating demarcation. The temple in the centre of this was like magic - The power and magic of god was evident here. I thought to myself 'God has found such a difficult and a wonderful seat for him to abide at'.

God has his own ways of making his presence felt. I was convinced about that and the fact that we are at the beck and call of this unknown power. I felt I was very near to god, as if he was blessing all the pilgrims with his mighty power and all our exhaustion were lost in this. Lord Shiva is said to be the power behind the creation of this world and this was the moment I realised the essence of it!!!
