How to say Bye When Holiday Guests won't leave?

By Super Admin

The holidays are nearing and all of us are ready to invite guests. There will always be a flow of guests in our houses. Sometimes friends and families start having good times that they forget to go back to their houses. But there is always an end to all good things and the hosts of the house need to go to bed. Here you can get a lighthearted approach to how to handle these guests who stay for a long time.

Know how to say good-bye

You should always be free to bid good-bye in a polite manner. It is always good to say such phrases that you should learn from expert sociable people as to how to handle them without hurting them.

"Oh, dear, just look at the time! I didn't realize it was so late. I'm going to let you nice people go home, so you can retire."

"It's been wonderful having you. We really enjoyed it. I'll get you the train schedule. Will you be needing a ride to the station?"

These are the small ways by which you can tell a good bye to those guests who would otherwise not relieve the hosts.

If you don't want to play host for a few days, tell aspiring guests that it will be impossible for them to stay with you, saying, perhaps, "It's just not a good time for me." If you don't mind having someone stay over, be very clear about how long the person is invited to stay. Tell them that you are having your house painted and would want the house to be empty. Here are some other ideas you might want to try (but probably shouldn't!).

  • Make sure the is empty, or full of dairy products and turned off.
  • ;
  • Tell them your key is hard to use, and then change the locks.
  • ;
  • Avoid buying a sofa bed. Offer your guests the floor
  • ;
  • Put a rock under the guest mattress. Or a typewriter.(LOL)
  • ;
  • Ask the guests to cook for themselves and keep the things they do not prefer.

Ha Ha Ha...so these funny, yet very important tips can help you be on the safer side if you do not want guests to stay for a longer period of time. In India we consider guests to be Gods and we know that they are to be welcomed. But nowadays it is a pity that we cannot do this for long because of our daily busy schedule.
