Nick Carter From ‘Backstreet Boys’ On His Love For ‘Palak Paneer’ And Collaborating With Indian Artists

A Star-Studded Fan Meet At ZLB23
Nick Carter, the pop sensation from the 1990s and 2000s, who rose to fame with the boy Band "BACKSTREET BOYS", performed in Bengaluru recently as part of his 'Who Am I' tour. Before his concert he met with his fans and media at ZLB23, Kyoto Speakeasy Bar at The Leela Palace Bengaluru. Featured in Asia's 50 Best Bars 2024, ZLB23 is known to promote Indian and international artists. Nick had a candid conversation with the attendees at this exclusive event and spilled some beans on his future plans.
Nick's Love For India And It's Cuisine
Nick expressed his love for India and Indian food, his favourite dish being 'Palak Paneer' (cottage cheese in spinach gravy). He expressed his love for spicy food and said that he's happy to be performing solo in Bengaluru and intends to visit again soon.
From Backstreet Boys To A Solo Artist
Nick was one of the lead singers of the boyband, Backstreet Boys, that was quite a rage in the 1990s and 2000s. The journey from a band member to a successful solo artist has been a long road. Nick mentioned how the process of making music itself is different when you work solo vs as a band.

Plans For An Indian Collaboration
Nick who loves India, expressed his eagerness to collaborate with an Indian artist on an exciting project in the near future and looks forward to exploring this opportunity. He admires the Indian artists and their music a lot.
A Touching Fan Moment In Germany
When asked about a memorable fan interaction, Nick recalled a touching moment at the start of his 'Who Am I' tour in Germany. He met a terminally ill fan who gifted him a cherished keepsake-one she had originally received from another Backstreet Boys member years ago at her first concert in Germany. She considered it her lucky charm and wanted Nick to have it. Deeply moved by the gesture, he now keeps it with him at all times.
A Family Man With A Passion For Music

Quite a family man, he seems to have passed on his love for music to his daughters who are really good at it. For the millennials he is quite an icon and his concert in Bengaluru was a testament to that. He started with some classic hits and then finished the concert with the boyband hits of all time. The city of Bengaluru saw this icon perform for the first time and will cherish this evening for years to come. As promised by Nick, Bengalureans are now hoping to see the entire band performing in the garden city soon.
