Doctors Forced Her To Deliver Her Unborn Child After 46 Years!
The unborn child was all mummified!
Giving birth is painful, it is not an easy task. There are so many instances where women lose their lives while giving birth and this scares many of them from entering motherhood as well.
This story is about the case of a woman who realised that she was pregnant, but was scared to give birth and ran away from the hospital only to never return for long!
This woman was forcefully operated 46 years later to remove a mummified baby from her womb!

What Actually Happens When The Baby Is Not Born?
When the foetus dies inside the womb and does not come on its own, the foetus gets calcified inside the body and it is medically known as a lithopedion or the "stone baby." If the foetus is too large to be reabsorbed by the body, it slowly begins to calcify the baby. The body provides the calcium from food, blood, and bones, which in return creates a protective stone-like tomb around the foetus. This shields the mother from the dead tissue of the baby. Hence, the baby is never born in the natural way!
She Was 26 Years Old When She Got Pregnant!
Zahra Aboutalib was 26 years old when she was pregnant and rushed to a hospital after she was in labour pain for 48 hours. This incident happened back in 1955 where medical science was still learning the art of caesarean births.
She Was Horrified
The sight of the labour room scared her to death, where she saw a woman lose her life after she died while she was giving birth. This scared Zahra and the next thing that she knew was she was getting out of the hospital, even when the doctors tried to persuade her to undergo the operation.
She Ran To Never Return!
She knew that she was not going to give birth this way, and hence ran out of the hospital in a way that none could stop her. She was in pain for a while, but strangely, her water never broke and she never gave birth.
She Thought…
She expected the baby to come out on its own, but it never happened, as the baby had died while it was inside her womb. With each passing day, she moved on in life and even decided to adopt 3 kids in the process.
46 Years Passed On…
Zahra had eventually forgotten about her unborn child and gone ahead in life, where she even became a grandmother, until she started experiencing a sharp shooting pain in her abdomen. This was the time her son decided to show her to the doctors.
The Doctors Were Confused…
The doctors had suggested that she needed to undergo a scan after they saw a bulged tummy of Zahra. The scan shocked them, as they could not understand what it was, as the foetus had calcified over the years!
She Was Operated Finally
Even though her fear of getting operated scared her, she was convinced to get operated and the mummified foetus was removed from her body after 4 long hours of operation. She recovered over a period of time.
She Was Finally Relieved From It!
Zahra claimed that she was at peace after she realised what had happened to the unforgotten baby of hers. The dead foetus was given the proper final rights that it deserved - after 46 long years!!
