Wills India Fashion Week 2013: Day 2
The Wills India Fashion Week 2013 is in full swing now. Day 2 of the WIFW Autumn Winter 2013 was a menagerie of colours, designs and patterns. Many ace designers like Tarun Tahiliani and Urvashi Kaur presented their collections on the second day of Wills India Fashion Week 2013. But apart from the clothes, day two was dominated by smart accessories. There was an amazing plethora of bags displayed on the second day of Wills India Fashion Week, especially in Tarun Tahiliani as well as Shantanu and Niklil's collection.
As far as celebrity showstoppers are concerned, we did not have so many celebs on the ramp on Day 2. The only Bollywood celebrity in attendance was Gul Panag. Gul Panag walked the ramp for Urvashi Kaur and looked boisterous in a burgundy gown. If we were to rate the designs in the collections, Tarun Tahliani takes the cake with his Kubh-mela inspired collection. But he is closely followed by Shantanu and Nikhil's very wearable collection.
We also likes Pallavi Mohan's designs at the Wills India Fashion Week 2013 because they were sweet and simple. Anju Modi had a dramatic entry but no much to talk about the clothes. So, in a nutshell, the second day of Wills India Fashion Week was just as exciting as we expected.
Here are some of the snippets of the fashion displayed on Day 2 of Wills India Fashion Week 2013.

Gul Panag For Urvashi Kaur
Gul Panag was the only celebrity showstopper present on the Day 2 of Wills India Fashion Week 2013.

Gul Panag's Maroon Dress
Gul was seen wearing a maroon coloured body hugging dress that was slit on the side.

Urvashi Kaur: Silky Drapes
Urvashi's collection is based on a series of clothes that look like drapes. This slate grey top and pants look special because of the stylish scarf draped around the neck.

Urvashi Kaur: Strapless Gown With A Shrug
This is one of the best outfits from Urvashi's collection. The silky cream gown has a red base. And the sleeves of the gown are separate from the bodice making it look like a shrug.

Tarun Tahiliani: Navy Blue Saree
This navy blue saree has been draped in a very innovative way. The model is not wearing a blouse but the saree has been wrapped around like an off shoulder blouse.

Tarun Tahiliani: Red Gown
Tarun Tahiliani is known for his traditional wear. But he can do well with Western styles too. This silky red gown worn with a long maroon shrug is pristine in its beauty.

Tarun Tahliani: Black Net Saree
This black net saree with red borders looks absolutely fab. The model is wearing a heavy feathered black necklace to make the outfit look dramatic.

Tarun Tahliani: Kadas
Forget the outfit; just check out the ethnic kadas (bangles) on this model!

Shantanu n Nikhil: Ethnic Off-White Gown
This designer duo believe in preserving the essence of Indian fabric while adding a touch of Western designs with them. This brocade fabric is probably for a lehenga but the lace skirt makes it look very contemporary.

Shantanu n Nikhil: Navy Blue Lehenga-Skirt
This one is easily the best outfit in the collection. The embroidered navy blue lehenga has been worn with a blue top.

Shantanu n Nikhil: White Shirt n Blouse
The pearl white sleeveless top has very smart buttons. The skirt is embellished with off-white lace. Very wearable even in your daily life.

Shantanu n Nikhil: Navy Blue Suit
The suit is smart for party wear but what really caught our eye was the polka-dotted bag.

Shantanu n Nikhil: Orange Dress
Orange is the 'in' colour. And this well fitting silk dress has a pattern with lots of folds. The smart cream coloured bag is the cherry on the cake.

Tanvi Kedia: Bohemian
Tanvi Kedia's collection was based on Bohemian designs but the fabric used was silk. We have seen better Bohemian designs than this and being shabby isn't exactly the best way to display Bohemian clothes.

Pallavi Mohan: Not So Seriously
Pallavi Mohan: Not So Seriously
True to its name, the collection has a set of peppy and casual clothes. These silk trousers and thick woolen sweater look very casual yet fashionable.

Pallavi Mohan: Sheer Dress
As sheer gowns is in fashion, we can see a nice peach coloured sheer dress in this collection.

Pallavi Mohan: Black Sweater n Checked Skirt
This jet black sweater and red checked skirt gives the impression of a cute school girl.

Pallavi Mohan: Show Stopper's Dress
This mauve coloured embellished gown was the showstopper's outfit. It is seriously gorgeously despite the title of the collection being 'not-so-serious'.

Anju Modi: Hats n More
The collection has been marked with a set of patent hats. This red saree was paired with a typical Netaji hat for no apparent reason.

Anju Modi herself appeared wearing a Netaji hat along with her showstopper who is wearing police inspector's hat.
