Is SRK Promoting An Underwear Brand?

While the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) celebrated their win over the Chennai Super Kings, Bollywood's very own King Khan, the co-owner of KKR team, was seen applauding enthusiastically on the ground. He was actually ecstatic enough to be showing his pitch black inner wear to millions of people! The picture, splashed all over the front page of many leading newspapers. This makes one wonder was that awaited moment another ploy to promote an inner wear brand or is it SRK's fashion preference to sport dangerously low waist jeans?

The low-waist trend got immensely popular during the late 1990's and early 2000. Since then, youngsters all over the world feel that in order to be branded “cool, hip and fashionable”, one must opt for low waist jeans and trousers, that eventually shows off your hip bone. Even though you can face several health hazards like abdomen pains, bulging of the tummy people due to low waist jeans, celebrities like SRK paved the way for carrying such a cool look!

Whether it is a marketing ploy or just another style statement by the star, this is one style we wouldn't prefer to see SRK promoting– especially at an event as massive as the IPL final, where his fans from all over the world would be watching his each and every move.

Celebrities should understand that apart from being entertainers, they are role models too, and such public displays will just encourage children and teens all over the world to ape their style, and create another generation of low waist wearers! We know that SRK is over the top with the KKR win, but take some time to pull down your shirt too!

Because of its tasteless quality, the low waist phenomenon is the only fashion statement that caused the President of the United States of America to pass a comment! Despite being amidst a whirl wind of financial and international conferences, President Barrack Obama took time to make a statement against this style. "I'm with those who prefer not to see other people's underwear" he said. Shah Rukh Khan, are you listening?
