Gandhi Jayanti 2021: Places Dedicated To Mahatma Gandhi
2nd October marks the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. It is the day when Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or in simpler words Bapu was born in 1869. Bapu has been one of the most memorable patriotic men who has given his best to bring independence to the country.

Sabarmati Ashram
his is the place where Mahatma Gandhi spend at least 12 years of his life. It is one of the residences of Mahatma Gandhi and is also known as Gandhi Ashram or Harijan Ashram.

Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum
US President Obama visited Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalaya, the tourist spot to check out the history and beauty of this place.

Gandhi Smriti or Birla House or Birla Bhavan
Located in New Delhi, this is the place where Gandhiji was assassinated. Gandhi spend his last 144 days of his life in Gandhi Smriti.

Dandi Bridge
It is the famous bridge where Mahatma Gandhi walked with his followers to protest against the British Government.

Located in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad (Gujarat), this ashram has a museum, Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalay, Upasana Mandir, the famous Charkha and 34,000 letters written by Gandhi during the fight for independence. Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum: This special place is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Located in downtown Mumbai, this was the headquarter from where Gandhiji initiated the Non-corporation movement, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat movements. Recently, US President Obama visited Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalaya, the tourist spot to check out the history and beauty of this place. There is also Gandhi Museum and a library. Gandhi Smriti or Birla House or Birla Bhavan: This is a museum that is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Earlier it was the house of the Birlas. Located in New Delhi, this is the place where Gandhiji was assassinated. There is a 'Martyr's Column' (a spot where he was assassinated). Gandhi spends the last 144 days of his life in Gandhi Smriti. There is a huge pillar on the entrance of the Gandhi Smriti that has two religious symbols; a swastika and Om.
Dandi Bridge: It is the famous bridge where Mahatma Gandhi walked with his followers to protest against the British Government. Dandi March or Salt Satyagraha of 1930 was a direct action campaign of tax resistance and nonviolent protest against the British salt monopoly. Mahatma Gandhi leads this protest March from his base, Sabarmati ashram.
