Oscars 2012: Usual Suspects Rule Fashion Scene!

We haven't got to the end of the list and we can already see all the expected and known faces making there way up. Oscars 2012 was fashionably graced by all the usual suspects. While new comer Michel Hazanavicius walked away with the most prestigious award there were no such surprises. If is exactly who you would expect to be on that list. So instead of carrying on with the cat and mouse game of guessing games, let us get on with it.

Here are some the best dressed ladies who rocked the fashion scene of Oscars 2012.

The Best Dressed At Oscars 2012:

1. Angelina Jolie: Well there you go, as expected, Mrs Smith makes her presence felt on the red carpet with her foreign film 'Land Of Blood And Honey' and also her Atelier Versace gown. Black velvet has been sort of the in thing for red carpet dresses this season. Brad Pitt's lady turned up in black even at the SAG awards. Black looks very becoming on Jolie with bright red lips and she is a definite trendsetter as far as Oscars fashion is considered. The high ended slit on the thigh is super hot.

2. Penelope Cruz: This celebrity has a certain penchant for old fashioned puffed up full skirted gowns and there is doubt about the fact she carries them to perfection. This Armani Prive gown would have looked good even in an 18th century ballroom. The unusual smoky blue colour just takes the cake. Remember Cruz in a feathery pink Versace gown from 2007?

3. Rooney Mara: She is making news for more than one reasons these days. Having been recently on the cover page of Vogue, Rooney Mara is making heads turn. She did just that with Givenchy designer Couture. The gown was v-necked and nicely embellished shinning white. The look was complete with blazing red lips and hair pulled into a simple bun to highlight the razor sharp fringes.

4. Gywneth Paltrow: Ever heard of the phrase, 'saving the best for the last'? That is what Gywneth Paltrow has been doing. She has had quite a happening season as far as her red carpet dresses are concerned; they were much talked about and appreciated. But her pearl white Tom Ford dress complete with the cape at Oscars 2012 has definitely been the last blockbuster iof the season. If there were an award for the best dressed celebrity through out the award season, then it would be her.

5. Jennifer Lopez: So what if she was missing from the nominations list this year and did not have a single Hollywood release. J Lo has still managed to get noticed in the awards with her Zuhair Murad gown. Sequenced, shimmering white and scooped out long sleeves made the whole outfit very interesting.

Oscars 2012 had few surprises as the best of Hollywood turned up in their best clothes!
