Theory 2: The Jews call it a day.

According to official reports, more than 4,000 Jewish people took a day off on the day 9/11 attacks. It has been hypothesised that they knew it was coming and stayed away.

Verdict: It is nothing but the sentiments of an Anti-Semitic group who spread these rumours. Considering that 50,000 people worked in the World Trade Centre on any average weekday, 4,000 people taking a leave is just a matter of coincidence.

Theory 3: Pentagon attack is a scientific impossibility.

Many experts believe that the hole formed in the Pentagon is much smaller than the average diameter of an American Airlines plane. In fact, the angle at which the plane crashed was extremely strange and the impact was too small for such a huge commotion.

Verdict: Well, this is the most compelling among all the other conspiracy theories but there is no way to tell. I guess we will have to crash another aircraft into Pentagon to find out for sure!

Theory 4: Fake phone calls.

Many people called their family and friends from the hijacked planes. The severe formality of their tone indicates some lack of emotion. That is uncharacteristic in such an emotionally charged situation. Many people believe that these phone calls were faked.

Verdict: Either that or the real tapes of the calls were never released!

Theory 5: It was an inside job.

Many security experts and the general population are of the opinion that an attack of such magnitude must have been comprehended by the Intelligence agencies. Nobody says that the White House itself was involved in it. However, there must have been some source of help from the administration to achieve a security breach of this magnitude.
