Ekta Kapoor Shares Video Of 2 Komolikas: 7 Reasons Why Being Like Her Isn't All Bad In This Savage World
Cue the dramatic music. Wind in the hair. That aggressive jhumka twirl. And there she is-Komolika Basu, Indian TV's ultimate vamp. The woman we all loved to hate, whose mere entry was enough to cause chaos in a serial-and in our living rooms.
One Komolika was enough to set screens on fire-but Ekta Kapoor just gave fans double the drama! In a surprise Instagram Reel that sent 'Kasautii' fans into nostalgic overdrive, the queen of Indian television dropped a delightful reunion featuring not one, but both iconic Komolikas-Urvashi Dholakia and Hina Khan.

The reel shows the OG vamp Urvashi and her equally fierce successor Hina channeling their inner sass as they deliver that iconic dialogue, striking poses like it's 2002 and 2019 all over again. Ekta, ever the dramatic director (in her own words), cheekily captioned it: "Ek reeel ke price mein do do!" reminding us why she still owns the soap throne. As the two Komolikas twirl in sync, fans couldn't help but ask-can we please have a full-blown spin-off?
Watch The Video Here:
But
now,
take
a
moment
and
think:
Was
Komolika
really
evil...
or
just
misunderstood
and
way
too
ahead
of
her
time?
In
a
world
where
women
are
told
to
be
selfless,
patient,
and
agreeable,
Komolika
did
the
unthinkable-she
chose
herself.
She
was
bold,
fashionable,
unapologetic,
and
never
pretended
to
be
"nice"
to
fit
in.
Maybe,
just
maybe,
being
a
little
Komolika
in
today's
society
isn't
a
bad
thing.
Here's
why
embracing
your
inner
Komolika
might
actually
be
very
2025.
1. She Knew What She Wanted (and Went After It)
Unlike the confused female leads waiting for sanskaar and miracles, Komolika set goals and chased them-whether it was a man, money, or power. In today's fast-paced world, that kind of ambition is gold.
She didn't wait to be saved. She took charge. And isn't that what every motivational reel is screaming these days?
2. Her Fashion Game Was Iconic
Let's be real-nobody did statement fashion like Komolika. Those bindis, blouses, and borderline villainous smirks were straight-up legendary.
While the sanskaari bahus wore beige, Komolika wore bling and made heads turn. Today, she'd be an Instagram influencer with a million followers and a MAC collab deal.
3. She Was Smarter Than Everyone Around Her
Komolika didn't just rely on her looks-she had strategic brainpower. She read people, played her cards right, and never underestimated her opponents. Sure, she used her powers for drama, but intelligence and planning? Top-tier.
In a world that rewards smart work over hard work, she would've made a killer CEO (or a cutthroat PR agent).
4. She Spoke Her Mind, No People-Pleasing Nonsense
The Indian daughter-in-law prototype is soft-spoken, self-sacrificing, and always smiling. Komolika? Not so much. She was savage before it was trending.
She didn't sugarcoat her words to please anyone-and that kind of authenticity, even in villainous doses, is something many women are still learning to own.
5. She Refused To Be The Victim
While
the
leads
wept
endlessly
into
their
chiffon
dupattas,
Komolika
never
played
the
victim
card.
She
owned
her
mistakes,
made
bold
moves,
and
never
sat
in
a
corner
crying
about
fate.
Today,
resilience
and
radical
self-belief
are
powerful
tools.
And
Komolika
had
those
in
buckets.
6. She Knew Her Worth, And Never Settled
She
didn't
accept
breadcrumbs.
Whether
it
was
love,
lifestyle,
or
loyalty,
Komolika
demanded
everything
or
nothing.
In
a
time
where
women
are
constantly
told
to
compromise,
her
refusal
to
settle
becomes
oddly
empowering-even
if
it
was
packaged
in
drama.
7. She Turned Hate Into Power
Let's
not
forget-Komolika
knew
people
talked
behind
her
back.
She
just
didn't
care.
She
owned
her
identity
as
the
'bad
girl' and
used
it
as
armor.
In
an
era
of
cancel
culture
and
constant
judgment,
that
thick
skin
and
self-branding
mastery
is
a
real-life
survival
skill.
The World May Need A Little Komolika
Sure, Komolika plotted and schemed (a lot), but beneath the TV melodrama was a woman unapologetically living on her terms. She wasn't perfect, she wasn't polite-but she was powerful, stylish, and unbothered.
Maybe today's world doesn't need another silent, suffering heroine. Maybe what we need is someone who twirls her jhumka, speaks her mind, wears glitter, and owns her chaos. A little Komolika in all of us could be the confidence upgrade society never saw coming.
So go ahead. Channel that inner sass. Just... maybe keep the evil plotting to a minimum.
