Border 2 Teaser Out On Vijay Diwas: Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan Team Up For The War Film

Border 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1997-released blockbuster, is now nearing the final stages of its production. Sunny Deol is returning to play the central character in the second installment, which also features Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty in the pivotal roles. The most-awaited Border 2 teaser is out on the special occasion of Vijay Diwas 2025.

Border 2 Teaser Out On Vijay Diwas

The cast and crew members of Border 2 dropped the long-awaited teaser on December 16, 2025, Vijay Diwas, at the special event which was held at Mumbai. The grand event was attended by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, the three leading men of the upcoming Anurag Singh directorial. Diljit Dosanjh, however, gave the event a miss, reportedly due to his busy schedule.

The 2.04 minutes long Border 2 teaser begins with the introduction of Varun Dhawan's character, PVC Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya. The visuals, which suggest that the Border sequel revolves around all prominent Defence forces, later introduces the characters played by Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. Finally, we are introduced to a roaring Sunny Doel, who reminds us of his Gadar character with his fierce persona.

The first teaser of Anurag Singh's war film promises an unmatched theatrical experience with its powerful performances. However, the technical aspects of Border 2, at least in the recently released glimpses, lack finess. Especially, the visuals featuring the war scenes and Indian Navy look artificial, and are evidently created on green screen. However, the presences of the four leading men more than make up for the same.

Sunny Deol's Emotional Moment At Border 2 Teaser Launch Event

Sunny Deol made his first public appearance after the demise of his father, the legendary actor Dharmendra, at the Border 2 teaser launch event. The senior Bollywood star looked highly emotional and teary eyed at the event, and was seen reciting a line from Border 2 teaser launch event, which goes by "Aawaz kahaan tak jaani cahiye, Lahore tak (How far should the voice reach? All the way to Lahore)." Sunny Deol's videos from the event are now taking social media by storm.

Border 2 Cast And Crew

If the reports are to be believed, Sunny Deol is not returning to play his Border character in the long awaited upcoming sequel of the blockbuster film. Instead, the popular Bollywood star will play the role of Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, in the Anurag Singh directorial. Varun Dhawan appears as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, PVC in Border 2, which features Diljit Dosanjh as Fg Offr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC and Ahan Shetty in the role of Lt Cdr Joseph Pius Alfred Noronha, MVC.

Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Anya Singh, Paramveer Cheema, Angad Singh, Guneet Sandhu, and others essay the supporting roles in the film. The music score is composed by Anu Malik, Mithoon, Vishal Mishra, Sachet-Parampara, and Gurmoh. Anshul Chobey and Manish More handle the cinematography and editing, respectively. Border 2 is produced by JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, under the banner JP Films, in association with T-Series.
