A Routine Flight Turns Tragic
The Air India domestic flight, which was en route from Delhi to Ahmedabad, crashed just minutes before landing due to suspected engine failure. Out of 127 passengers on board, only Ramesh made it out alive.
In a chilling account, Ramesh revealed, "I smelled smoke and heard a loud pop. Instinct took over. I noticed a broken panel near the emergency exit and without thinking, I jumped out. I don't remember anything after that."
The Lone Survivor : Ramesh Viswashkumar's Escape
According to Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik, Ramesh was discovered alive and receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. He was seated on seat 11A, a location now gaining attention for being situated near the emergency exit of the aircraft.
"One survivor has been found in the hospital and is under treatment. Cannot say anything about the number of deaths yet. The death toll may increase as the flight crashed in a residential area," Commissioner Malik told ANI.
#Seat11AMiracle Takes Over Social Media
Investigations reveal that seat 11A on Air India's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is a window seat in the first row of the Economy class, located just two rows ahead of the plane's wings on the right-hand side. According to Aerolopa, a platform specializing in aircraft seating layouts, this seat is notably close to the emergency exit-possibly aiding Ramesh's miraculous escape.

Ramesh's story is being hailed as a miracle of survival, with netizens calling him "India's luckiest man." His seat number, 11A, is trending across social media with hashtags like #Seat11AMiracle and #SurvivorStory.
In conclusion, the country mourns the lives lost, but Ramesh's survival stands as a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness - a tale of sheer instinct, luck, and the will to live.
