Rap veteran and reality-TV star Flavor Flav will not only be entertaining his fans with his peppy music but will also provide some tasty fried chicken. The rapper, today, is opening his own chain of fast-food chicken restaurants in Clinton, Iowa. According to Nick Cimino of Rock Falls Ill, who is working with Flavor Flav, the new chicken restaurant is scheduled to open today afternoon at 916 N. 2nd St.

“He"s here. I can tell you that he"s here," Cimino said Friday morning, deferring answers to other questions to the rapper.
On Jan. 16, Cimino"s Facebook status read: “me and my boy flav opening up on the 24th make sure you come try our chicken."

Flavor Flav, born William Drayton Jr., announced the opening of his chicken restaurant in November, along with his liquor business named Le Flav Spirits.

“I'm also launching FFC – ya'll heard of KFC right? – well this is FFC, Flav's Fried Chicken," Flav tweeted last month. "The Colonel better watch his back, G! The Colonel might end up in my fryer."

Flavor Flav is a rap veteran, who got popular in the late 1980s with the group called Public Enemy. The group recorded three platinum and two gold albums and recently even toured Australia and New Zealand. Flavor Flav even taped the VH1 cable TV series “The Surreal Life," “Crazy Love," with actress Brigette Nielsen and a three seasons dating show “Flavor of Love," where he made a style statement wearing large clocks around his neck and a Viking helmet with horns.
