Sean Penn Under Probation
American actor Sean Penn, who is regularly in news for his violent acts has added another incident to his list. The actor was recently filmed kicking a celebrity photographer. He has been ordered to perform 300 hours of community service, by the court as a punishment of this act.
He was filmed kicking the photographer in the leg at a shopping center. The hard kick also damaged the photographer"s camera.
Along with 300 hours of community service, he is also sentenced for to three years of informal probation and ordered to undergo 36 hours of anger management counseling.
The two-time Oscar winner was also charged in February with misdemeanor battery and vandalism for the attack.
Mateljan, his spokesperson says the community service can be completed through Penn's earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti.
"Prolonging this matter in the court system would not have been in Mr Penn's best interests and would have distracted from his charitable commitments, specifically his work in Haiti. Accordingly he has decided to accept the terms and move on," said his lawyer.
