Old age is keeping off Queen Elizabeth from attending few ceremonies. The monarch has scrapped plans to attend a major military display in Canada this summer as she is too old to climb 17 steps to a stage.

Organizers have confirmed that, "the 83-year-old was slated to attend the Nova Scotia Military Tattoo in Halifax in July."

She would miss on the military marching bands perform ceremonial drills during the event.

However, organizers told that the 17 stairs to the 12-foot high stage of the Buckingham Palace would be too much for the monarch at this age.

Considering all the pros and cons the officials have striked out the event from the queens agenda.
