She Got Married In Longest Wedding Gown Ever Made

How long can you think your wedding dress should be? 10 meter, 30 meter, 50 or 60 meters. Is it still long enough? If you still want more, then hook up with the Chinese bride who wore the world's longest dress on her wedding day on Thursday.

The astoundingly long, 2,162-meter-long wedding gown, was handmade by her groom's family, making it the world's longest wedding gown ever made in this world.

Now, the next question that comes, is how did they manage to do it. Well, more than that, it should be interesting to know how they managed to carry such a huge gown with them. It's heard that more than 200 wedding guests took more than three hours to completely unroll the wedding train, and pin 9,999 red roses made of silk on the wedding train, before the bride put on the dress.

The groom, Zhao Peng, intentions was to get the record in the current Guinness World Record of a wedding dress. The present record is of 1,579 meters long, reports the China Daily.

He said that he had sent an application to the London-based Guinness World Record through its official Web site, and would send the wedding video to the Guinness headquarters. "Both the length of the dress and the number silk roses pinned on the wedding dress can make history. But it doesn't matter whether I can successfully register it on Guinness," Xinhua quoted the groom, as saying.

It took his relatives three months to make the dress, and cost him about 40,000 yuan. Zhao's idea of making such a dress was initially strongly opposed by his family. "It is a waste of money in my opinion. Though I understand that he wants to show his love on the big day," said Zhao's mother.

He, however, finally managed to persuade his family, and his aunt, a dressmaker, agreed to make the design.
