A rare comic book that introduced the Superman as the first super hero to the world, is valued around 126,000 dollars.

Published in 1938, experts consider "Action Comics #1" as a valuable comic according to 'Fox News'.

Stephen Fishler who evaluated comic books with the grading scale of ten points said
"It''s the Holy Grail of comic books,"

He went on to say : "This is the one that started it all. There was no such thing as a super hero before it. No flying man. Comics weren''t even that popular. It''s the single most important event in comic book history,"

He added that the copies of the comics are in good condition and are worth about 126,000 dollars, however this particular one would fetch several time more. The No 1 edition's 100 copies are said to exist.

The unidentified owner bought the comic in 1950 for 35 cents after begging his father when he was 9-years-old.

The comic will be offered on the website of Fishler and Vincent Zurzolo, co-owners of Metropolis Collectibles, for two weeks.
