Denim advertisement
A billboard of topless women in denim jeans has topped the list of the most complained about advertisements for 2009. The ad, for fashion label GASP denim received 250 complaints altogether.

Despite all the complaints, the case was dismissed by the advertising Standards Bureau (ASB).

Three ads of Advanced Medical Institute also got many complaints. All three revolved around men's sexual issues and featured slogans such as 'Men do it longer' and were complained about for their portrayal of sex.

The list comes after a Toyota Yaris ad was slammed for its 'abuser generated content'. The ad was branded 'incestuous' and 'very offensive and incredibly disregarding to women.'

ASB Chief Executive Officer, Fiona Jolly said discrimination, and nudity were the hot topics when it came to ad complaints this year.
