Topping the list for Britain' 'Most hated celebrities' is the pop pedophile Gary Glitter. The poll had over 200,000 people joined 82 groups on Facebook dedicated to expressing dislike for the shamed glam rocker.

Leading second on the infamous' list is Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills, who was second most rivaled on the social networking site. As reported by the Sun, over 160,000 joined the 35 anti-Mucca groups. Third on the list is the BBC Radio 1 star, rap DJ Tim Westwood, with 145,000 people hating the star.

Landing fourth on the list is Big Brother's Alexandra de Gale and rounding off the fifth position is Ashley Cole. The top five are:
