Here comes some good news for Carrie Prejean, Miss U.S.A. contestant from California. There has been a huge uproar on her statement recently when she showed her disapproval on anit-gay marriages during Miss. U.S.A. pageant. Many believed that her comment cost her the crown of Miss. U.S.A.

Miss California has been blasted since the Miss U.S.A. competition, when she said on national television, much to the dismay of celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Later on her anti-gay comment led to a huge furore. But since then, Prejean has found a slew of supporters from conservative bloggers and talk-show hosts, reports Poltico.com.

An Alabama state legislator has now introduced a House resolution praising her for speaking out against gay marriage. In a press release, Family Research Council President, Tony Perkins, stated his admiration and support for her, and lauded her fortitude in the face of continued baseless personal attacks.

Fox News talk show host, Sean Hannity, told Prejean "when she appeared on his television program that there is a lot of people cheering you tonight that you stood on your principles, that you put the principles above winning. Not enough people do that. And I admire you a lot for it."
