Disgraced ex-Miss California, Carrie Prejean has refused to appear at a Connecticut club, insisting a midnight slot was an indirect conflict with her reputation as a Christian.

Prejean, who was dumped by the pageant after she bashed gay marriage and was revealed to have taken part in a sex tape, was negotiating a $ 15,000 deal with promoters to appear at Shrine at the MGM Grand.

However, she pulled out the talks because the appearance was to be made between midnight and 2 in the morning.

In an e-mail, her mother, Francine, wrote “We are not completely certain that we want her in a nightclub at the hours specified in the contract."

The timings mentioned in the contract was in direct conflict with who she is. Her reputation as a
Christian is more important than any public appearance or monetary compensations.

“If in the future, you have an opportunity for her to speak to young adults or physically challenged athletes, she would love it, added her mother.
