Andie MacDowell To Take Part In Kilt Fashion Show

This year's 'Dressed To Kilt Fashion Show' is set to be organised in the United States, where American actress Andie MacDowell will be joining other famous Scots.

MacDowell, 50, will do a catwalk with her two daughters and will also be joining Sir Sean Connery, Brian Cox, and Ashley Jensen, among others. The star-studded andie macdowell, will also see billionaire tycoon Donald Trump, who has Scottish roots, taking part in the show.

Extended to cities across North America and Canada, 'Dressed To Kilt', organised from andie macdowell, businessman Geoffrey Scott-Carroll, is one of the centrepiece events of the Tartan Week celebrations. The cheapest ticket for the event costs 99 dollars with a VIP table costing 10,000 dollars.

This highly-anticipated event features kilted gents and plaid-clad ladies strutting their stuff down the runway for an A-list of judges, the Scotsman quoted a spokeswoman for 'Dressed To Kilt' as saying. She also added that traditional kilts as well as fashion-forward garb will be showcased in a lavish display of Scottish pride.

The organisers say Connery and his wife Micheline will be the official hosts for the event on March 30. Mike Russell, the culture minister, said: "'Dressed To Kilt' shines the spotlight on Scottish fashion and flair and creates interest in our talented designers within the North American market" He also added that he is delighted that this year Dressed to Kilt, will showcase and promote homecoming.
