A R Rahman, Best Music Composer For Slumdog Millionaire

It is celebration time for Bollywood and India. The top maestro A.R Rahman has won the Best Music Composer award for the unique background score for the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

The 14th annual Critics' Choice awards in America also had the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' winning a total of five awards, with director Danny Boyle winning the Best Director award, writer Simon Beaufoy, also won an award for the film and actor Dev Patel added another trophy to his credit with the young actor/actress award.

The others winners included Sean Penn walking away with the best actor for his film Milk and the best actress award shared by Anne Hathaway for 'Rachel Getting Married' and Meryl Streep, for 'Doubt'.

The role of 'Joker' played by Heath Ledger for the movie 'The dark knight' was widely honoured and appreciated. For her role in the movie "The Reader," Kate winslet won the best supporting actress award and Bruce Springsteen received the best song award for the movie "The Wrestler." AGENCIES
