Princess Dianas Secret Dress
Ever wondered what is the favorite dress of one of the most beautiful women in the world ? Designer David Sassoon revealed that the late Princess of Wales, Diana, loved a very modest dress in her entire wardrobe of exotic collections.

The Princess called it her 'caring dress', it was a simple floral crepe-de-Chine design with very bright colors and often the Princess faced criticism for wearing it. But according to her it made the sick and suffering children connect well with her.

David Sassoon who had made her more than 70 outfits has spoken about the late Princess's secret choice. "She would say 'I keep being told not to wear it, but I love this dress, my caring dress'. Of course Diana was the first member of the Royal family to break all the rules," the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

In the 1990s the press had speculated that she loved the dress because of its colour, Sassoon explained that it was not the reason.

"She happened to wear that dress when visiting a hospital, and children seemed to clamour round and like it. If you are like the Princess of Wales, who loved children, you don't want a strictly formal suit for a hospital visit. You pick a very informal dress with bright colours, which that dress was. The reaction is one of awe from young children," he added.

The Princess went on to wear it in Lagos in Nigeria, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and also while visiting a London Aids hospice.

Mr Sassoon, who has spent 50 years dressing some of the world's most beautiful women at his couture house Bellville Sassoon, designed the dress for a foreign tour in 1988.

The very beautiful Princess was known for her caring nature and her beauty, but perhaps it is her simplicity that still manages to hold on to the public memory even today.
