NE Fashion week hots up
Fashion has captured the imagination of the people with the North East Fashion Week proving a success with ensembles of ramp shows, exhibitions of ethnic wear besides, serious pursuit for promoting the region"s hand-woven wonders.
The organizer of the three-day North East India Fashion week here that ended Sunday, expressed satisfaction over the response it received from the citizens.
Speaking to UNI here, young fashion designer Meghna Rai Medhi said the Week, organized for the first time here, had received a spontaneous response. In all, twelve designers from various states of the north east participated in the show.
The main objective of this exhibition-cum-sale of designer wear show was to upgrade and promote handloom and related materials not only in NE but also outside, Ms Medhi said.
A number of stalls of various designed products, including ladies wear and shoes, were set up.
