The second half of the year will witness the launch of the much-awaited TVS Flame. TVS Flame will help the company play a significant role in the executive segment, which accounts for
over 50% of the motorcycle market. The all-new 4 Stroke, 4 geared 125cc TVS Flame would be the
most innovatively designed offering from TVS designed to win over discerning customers with its futuristic styling and technology. This new motorcycle engine developed by TVS Motor
Company in collaboration with AVL, Austria comes with Controlled Combustion Variable Timing Intelligent (CC-VTi) technology. This new technology in the 125 cc FLAME gives the combined advantage of power, mileage and stunning looks.

In the premium segment too, the company will for the first time in the 160cc category introduce the TVS Apache RTR EFI, which will come with the additional benefit of the rear disc brake.

The second half of the year will also witness the launch of new Scooty Teenz Electric Vehicle targeted at women who need mobility, but at lower ownership costs. Stylish and durable, the Scooty Teenz EV will come in vibrant rich colours, refreshing graphics and will have stylish contemporary looks. Since inception, TVS Scooty has been at the fore-front of putting

women-on-wheels and the company had undertaken many unique initiatives targeted mainly at women. The much-appreciated 99 shades of the Scooty Pep+ has taken it into a new league. A customer can pick her preferred colour a choice of vibrant solids, glossy metallics and premium dual-tone pearl finish. TVS Motor Company also undertook the W-O-W (Women on Wheels) project wherein a 400 strong specially trained field-force, attached to the company dealerships spanning 90 cities across the country, conducted road safety seminar-cum-workshops and a unique six day familiarisation program on how to ride a Scooty. This was complemented with distribution of educational material on road safety.

Broad-basing its portfolio, TVS Motor is also gearing up to launch its three-wheeler variants in the next quarter. The vehicles will redefine all performance characteristics of fuel efficiency, reliability, comfort, convenience, safety and style to give pride of ownership to the driver. TVS would leverage its existing extensive distribution & service network to market.

EXPORTS

During the second quarter ended September 2007, the company exported 36,437 two wheelers recording a growth of 15% over the same period last year. Exports will continue to be a focus area for the company.
