Demanding a probe into the incident and punishment forth rose responsible for the student's death, SFI state committee Secretary Sudip Sengupta said examinations would be exlluded from the purview of the strike.

The SFI demanded that the Government appoint a committee to inquire into the circumstances that led to the student's death.
