Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) Dismissing as mere 'rumours' that mosquitoes could carry HIV virus, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today made it clear that mosquitoes could not carry the virus.
He urged people not to get mislead by such reports, when newsmen referred to reports in a section of the media stating that a teacher in Kerala had compared blood sucking action of mosquitoes to a needle of a contaminated syringe that could spread HIV virus.
