'Circuit' Arshad Warsi makes debut on TV
Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi is the latest filmstar to join the long list of celluloid stars joining the television bandwagon.
The actor who strode to fame as the hugely popular character 'Circuit' in 'Munnabhai MBBS' and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' will be seen as the brand ambassador of Filmy Stock Exchange (FSE) on Sahara One Media and Entertainment's 'Filmy' movie channel beginning from October one.
Warsi, fresh from accolades on his performance in 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' said, '' The idea of Filmy Stock Exchange is fascninating. The younger audience is going to connect with it very well, because for them, there can't be a more engaging way of learning the workings of a stock exchange. It's simple and fun to play, and there are prizes to be won as well. The moment Filmy approached me with the concept, I decided to be a part of it.'' Arshad will appear on Filmy channel 20 times a day for two minutes each asking viewers to participate in the game results of which will be declared on the channel.
''FSE gives Bollywood fans an opportunity to 'own' their favourite stars. The game can be played on mobile and Internet. Registered users get 1,000 Filmy Rupees (FR) to create their portfolio of stars. The stock prices will change every hours on the basis of trading trends, box office performance, and industry news and gossip. Players can redeem their surplus Filmy rupees for big exciting prizes,'' Shantonu Aditya, CEO of Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd told a press conference here today.
