The big C, cancer effects our little pets too. For those of you who have pet cats and dogs it is time to notice every pain and lump on their body. Pets cannot talk to us but through their expressions we can feel their pain. Cancer is one of those deadly diseases which is painful and is a number one disease related killer.
There are a number of cancer signs which you need to be aware of. These cancer signs in pets needs to be noticed by the owner. There are times when these symptoms will not be purely indicative of cancer, if a pet begins to exhibit them you should visit your veterinarian immediately.

Just like with people, the earlier cancer is caught the better there is a chance for survival in battling the disease.

Weight loss - One of those diseases which causes rapid weight loss is that of cancer. To notice if your pet dog or cat is suffering from cancer first check your dog's weight. Keep a track on your pet and consult a veterinarian if needed.
Wounds - One of the common signs in cancer is that of non healing wounds. If you notice any wounds on your pet dog or cat which is not healing, it is time to take action. It could also be related to a skin infection. So making an appointment with your veterinarian is a must to confirm what it is.
Bathroom habits - Every pet owner should be aware if there are any changes in your pet dog or cat 's urinary or bowel habits. If your pet is using the bathroom frequently and passing out blood in stool/ urine, it is a problem. This is one of the cancer signs which is common.
Pain - If you notice your pet cat or dog in pain, it is time to make note as to what it is. One of the common cancer symptoms in pets is that of pain. Notice if your pet is limping while running or jumping.
