Pug Puppies
Pugs are small wrinkly, muzzled face dogs with a curled tail. The Chinese origin dogs have a fine, glossy coat on it and are of different breeds. Also known as Chinese Pugs, the breed has become famous after being used as the brand endorser of Vodafone, a mobile network. Following this, many people have started adopting pugs.

But small pug puppies are very sensitive and can suffer from health problems like obesity, overheating and pharyngeal reflex if they are not taken care of. So, here are the tips to take care of pugs:

Brushing: The coat of the dog needs to be clean as they shed lots of hair. So, brush their hair once in a week before it sheds on your sofa or floor.

Cleaning Wrinkles: The face needs special attention. This breed is very curious and they tend to stick their tiny nose on dirt or else, scratch their face with nails. So, it is very important to clean the wrinkles on the face as the dust tends to stick easily on the wrinkles which can cause itching, irritation and sometimes infections. If you are learning the tips to take care of pugs, always remember to wipe the wrinkles with a tissue daily to keep it clean. Also, cut the nails regularly to keep it free from germs and avoid getting scratches on yourself too.

Avoid Overheating: Pug is prone to suffer from overheating so keep it in a cool room during summers to avoid dehydration. Pugs like other dogs don't have long wet nose to keep their bodies cool. So, shift your dog to a cool room if it is too hot or else provide lots of water. If the pug suffers from overheating, place a cold compress on its belly till it cools down.
Food: Take care of pug as it has very sensitive stomach and to maintain the proper functioning of the digestive system, give simple nutritious food. Stewed chicken brown rice, chicken or beef liver, scrambled egg and green vegetables are its favourite. Purchase wide, shallow food and water bowls to avoid the food or water from spilling on the eyes and face.

Obesity: It is a common suffering of young pug puppies as they eat anything given to them. Be very strict on their diet as extra weight will create health problems like knee or leg pain, eye and lung disfunctioning.

Ears: Getting ear infections is very easy for pug puppies as they have narrow ear canals. Use soft tissue or a cotton ball to wipe the ears and keep them clean and dry. If the pug shakes its head or scratches his ears a lot then pay extra attention as it can be symptoms of ear infection. Consult your vet and provide ear drops accordingly.

Teeth: Clean the teeth regularly and don't do it at long intervals as pugs may not accept change. Give teeth cleaning chews to avoid bad breath and bad gums of pugs.

Exercise: As pugs are small and generally heavy weight, daily walk and some exercise like playing, running is a must to avoid health issues and give proper pug training. Remember not to take it out on a bright, sunny hot day.

Keeping a pug is a fun and taking care of the soft wrinkled skin of the tiny pug puppies makes it the cutest exception amongst its breed.
