How To Dump Unwanted Things?

By Staff

Is your home too messy and unorganised with things wanted and unwanted scattered every where? If yes, you can organise your rooms with simple efforts to make it a lovely abode. The only thing that you need to do to organise your home is to store the necessary things and dump unwanted things. Old and useless cloths, unwanted papers and magazines, useless furnitures, garbage... the list of things to be dumped is long. Organising your home everyday is advisable to avoid a heavy load of work to clean your home.

Firstly, pick any room of your choice to begin with. Go from room to room to make the task easier.

Before cleaning or dumping things decide what all are unwanted and really useless. Few things that you may feel useless at this point of time may be of use in future. Such materials should be stored in a right place for future purposes.

Once you begin with a particular room do not do a partial cleaning. You can do the dumping process part by part. But partially done room may double the time and energy needed as you have to come back to the same room again to repeat the process.

You can plan the work in advance. If you prefer to complete the job in different dates then pre-plan the dates. You can even prepare an action sheet and then post the action sheet in a prominent place where you are certain to see it.

Before dumping things sort through it. Pick up one item at a time, and start dumping. If you come across items you want to give to charity, designate a special bag for those items. Whatever you are going to keep just put to one side of the room.

Keep a garbage bag at your reach while cleaning the rooms, so that you can place the unwanted things in it. One's the bag is full you can dump it outside. Once the scheduled time is over then do not let the garbage bag sit there. Make sure they are thrown out.

Be careful not to throw out any useful things misidentified as unwanted. When picking each item think twice about a possible use of it that you may confront in future.

Now that everything in that room that you wanted dumped is gone, you are ready to begin putting everything you are keeping back in an organized manner. Be very careful not to put anything else in this room that you do not need at all. Repeat this process for each of the other rooms in your house.

Storage of rarely used things is as important as dumping unwanted things. Identify all the potential storage options, which include cupboards, closets, lofts, racks, cartons, suitcases and the space under your beds.

Segregate your stuff. This means that you should intelligently club similar stuff together, so that it is less cumbersome to locate items on a later date. Like your woolen clothes should be kept together but separate from your tool kit.

Prioritize storage by placing often-used items in the more accessible locations. Infrequently used items should be placed in less accessible spots.

Hide what's unattractive either behind closed doors or inside something else. Identify and label all storage boxes and bins. If you can't be bothered to do this maintain a written record of where you've kept what. May sound way out, but this action definitely helps.
