Steps To Grow An Avocado Tree In Your Garden
Avocados
are
rich
fruits
that
are
replete
with
several
essential
nutrients.
In
the
west,
it
is
a
popular
practice
to
grow
avocados.
As
a
gardener
who
wishes
to
grow
avocados,
there
are
important
steps
that
need
to
be
followed.
In
this
article,
we
look
at
various
tips
to
grow
an
avocado
tree
in
your
garden.
Following
these
below
mentioned
steps
will
help
you
in
growing
an
avocado
tree.

First
up,
when
you
want
to
sow
the
seed,
you've
got
to
remove
the
pit,
eat
up
the
flesh
and
leave
it
for
at
least
three
or
four
days.
Next,
put
the
pit
in
a
glass
of
water.
The
pit
needs
to
float
on
the
surface
of
water.
So,
for
this,
stick
about
three
toothpicks
such
that
they
are
equidistant
from
each
other.
Once
you
put
the
pit
in
water,
he
pit,
because
of
the
toothpicks,
will
remain
on
the
surface
of
water.
Once done, take the glass of water with the pit and keep it under the sun. If water is found to evaporate, make sure you keep filling the glass and add more water. Roots and stems will begin sprouting in about six to seven weeks. Make sure you cut the stem once it has grown to a length of about 6 inches. Cut it back to about three inches.
Once the plant has grown and the roots have become thick, plant it in a pot with a diameter of about 10 inches. Keep the plant exposed to sun and keep watering the plant often. Make sure the soil is moist. Do not make the soil soaking wet.
When the tree grows to about 5 feet, cut it back to about 3 feet. This will allow new shoots to sprout and emerge.
