In most parts of the west, organic farming is believed to be the most prominent form of breeding healthy plants. Importantly, remember to leave circles around main stems to preclude crown rot.

It is important to tie up vines. Heavy plants need support, especially during the flowering season. Lilies and gladiolus are examples.
The Vegetable Garden:
If you have a vegetable garden, use transplants especially for crops such as eggplants, squash and tomatoes.

Watering your plants:
It is important to water your plants by around 7 30-8 in the morning. This time is most favorable for plants as evaporation is minimum. Tomatoes have a tendency of wilting sometime during the afternoon. You might want to water them during that time.
Pesticides:
Use pesticides to a minimal extent. Over use of pesticides will nullify positive effects from natural sources. Hence, ensure judicious pesticide use.
