Growing and maintaining some of the fragrant garden flowers of the season will not only improve your interest on gardening but also will give a sense of freshness to your home and garden. 1. Jasmine - means "Gift Of God", is a shrub that grows best in warm and moist areas. A climbing plant which requires support of trellises, fencing, and even walls. The botonical beauty can grow as high as 10 to 15 feet and up to two feet of growth every year. An interesting fact about the flowers is that they bloom only at night between 6-8 pm particularly when there is a drop in temperature and sun light. 4. Chrysanthemum - often known as "mums" are Asian native flowers. These are the easiest fragrant garden flowers that can be grown in mid spring. The so called "flowers of royalty" can be grown from seeds and has to be taken a little care until the plant is 4 weeks old. Chrysanthemum can either be a potter plant or can even be directly planted in gardens. Golden flower plant prefers sunny, well drained soils that contain organic manure like humus.

5. Michelia (Champak) - This tropical plant needs large space in your garden as it can become a tree with tousands of sweet scented addictive flowers. The flowers are of 50 species and attract a lot of bees and butterflies. The ornamental tree can grow about 10-15 metres tall and germinate through seeds. The scented plant prefer warmer climates and are to be grown on ground rather than in pots. All that the plant asks for is water so water them every day without miss.
