Growing a Christmas tree isn't easy although it grows with minimal care, it takes great patience and interest to grow the tree. Take a look at the steps on how to grow a Christmas tree.
Steps To Grow A Christmas Tree -
Instructions:
1.Choosing Christmas Tree : Choose the type of Christmas tree species you want. Pine trees are most common as it requires very little care to grow. Plant a seed or sapling of your desired tree.
2.Type Of Soil : Coniferous trees are tolerant to any type of soil but it is good if the soil area is slightly sandy with the acidic levels ie the pH ranging from 5.5 to 7.0. Ensure that the soil is always moist and never dry.
3.Planting Christmas Tree : While planting the tree do not plant the tree sapling in steep areas as rains may wash away the upper layer of the soil causing damage to the sapling.
4.Preparing soil : Remove the unwanted weeds and logs in the area where you have planned to grow Christmas trees. Fertilize the soil with acidic fertilizers as it supports faster growth.
5.Tree Care: Once the tree starts growing, keep a constant check on the tree to avoid pests and other insects. Spray insecticides that are specifically manufactured for Christmas trees as the trees are very sensitive to chemicals
6.Trimming : Cut and trim Christmas tree into a conical shape for which the Christmas decorations look the best.
Christmas trees are not just a symbol of the festivity but also ensure a healthy future. Celebrate this Christmas by planting a tree and may this Christmas, a “Green Christmas".
