Decorating The Royal Dolls For Navratri – Pattada Gombe Ideas
Navratri is celebrations in Karnataka are a little different, the festivities is more fun and activity oriented, just like the kids want. The most popular “Gombe Habba" or the doll festival is a major attraction during the navratri pooja. The doll collection that keeps adding up every year is arranged in a room and the guests, friends and neighbours will be invited to have a look at the collection.
One of the most famous attraction of the doll festival is the pattada gombe (the royal wedding dolls). They are placed at the centre and performed pooja considering them as the royal king and queen. The kids will be asked to dance to entertain the dolls and lots of festive delicacies are prepared on the nine days and offered.

How To Decorate The Royal Dolls -
1.
Cut
the
piece
of
velvet
into
blouse
for
the
queen
and
sherwani
for
the
king.
2.
Using
glue,
stick
the
blouse
piece
and
sherwani.
Allow
it
to
dry.
3.
It
is
best
if
the
sleeves
are
made
separately
and
then
stitched
or
stuck
to
the
body.
4.
Make
a
dhoti
out
of
the
white
piece
of
cloth.
Stick
the
dhoti
with
double
side
glue
and
tighten
it
using
a
twine.
5.
Make
pleats
using
the
green
blouse
piece
and
also
the
pallu
highlighting
the
contrast
border.
Stick
the
pleats
using
the
double
side
glue
and
pin
it
using
safety
pins.
6.
Stick
sequins
as
jewels.
Also
decorate
with
beaded
jewellery.

Add
bindi
to
eyes,
nose
stead
and
bindi.
