Convert Your House Into A Geo Inspired House

But just a decision won't help in saving the environment. If one is planning to transform house to a Geo inspired house, then these following ideas will help. Take a look at how to go about in converting a concrete house into a geo inspired house.
Tips To Renovate Your House To A Geo Inspired House -
1. Check the nature of the land and your surrounding. See if your idea would be supportive to the climate or not.
2. Opt for wooden houses. Wood can be made of agricultural/ jute/ plastic wastes. Wooden houses keep the house cool and look elegant. Wood furnitures are commonly used at houses. Keep in mind not to polish them as it reduces the natural glow and longevity of the wood.
3. Wooden walls don't require coloring but if one can't afford wooden house then color your cemented wall with VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) Paints is also a good idea. They are not toxic and are made of organic compounds.
4. You can also color your furniture and windows with VOC Paints, the basic way to renovate the concrete wall for a geo inspired house.
5. Cover your windows with simple cloth curtains or bamboo blinds. It gives a natural look to the interiors and are eco friendly too..
6. Natural resources like sunlight can make look your house bright. Windows should be located at directions where sunlight can enter directly. Building skylights on the roof surface to allow sunlight spread into the room. It would be preferable to build them in rooms which are dark. This will save you from consuming unwanted electricity at day times.
7. Shift from standard light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs. It is an effective way to save energy as they plug into any lighting unit and use minimum energy and it lasts 10 times longer than the standard ones.. This the best way to save your electricity bills too.
8. Rain water harvesting is an appropriate way to save water. Setup storage tanks at terrace (if you have) or else in the lawn. If your groundwater is saline then rainwater is a nice substitute to it.
9. Solar water heating system is a natural process and doesn't require electricity. Replace heating geysers in your bathroom with solar panels. Place them on your roof. Solar heating will provide energy to your house in many ways. It can heat water and the surplus energy can be transferred to a battery and can be stored for later use.
10. Solar energy is pure and clean. You can use the heating process to boil water for a shower or tea!
11. Use eco friendly home products like eco friendly phenols, organic bath soaps etc.
12. Fill your garden with new plants. It keeps the surrounding cool and free from pollution. Grow vegetables and use them. Nice way to use your hand grown vegetables.
You can implement these steps to get a simple Geo inspired house. It will give a green touch to your house and make you feel nature friendly.
