Do your kids make a fuss to have a bath? Do they frequently meet with accidents in the bathroom? Are you worried about the cleanliness? Then this is the article, which can solve most of your problems.

Kids bathroom can be made a place of fun and amusement, with the minimal equipments.

Decorate with colours:

Your child may be a fan of some cartoon characters, or toys like cars, trucks or Barbie dolls. Make use of these interests as your theme to decorate their bathroom. Lets take an example of a child who likes Mickey Mouse. Draw the paw on the walls that will lead to his/her bedroom and back into the bathroom. This will make the child feel his favourite cartoon character is always with him. Paste the posters of these characters on the walls. You can even colour your ceilings with marine creatures like, mermaid. Try making their bathroom a Disney land.

If that is to colourful you can go with one single bright coloured wall that suits the mood of the child like bolder hues of blue or you can paint multistripes on the wall horizontally or vertically.

Shower Curtains:

Now find a bright fabric for shower curtain that suits with the colour of the wall. It ca be colourful with various prints of the characters or animals and cartoons.You can be innovative by adding pockets in the front of the shower curtain, to hold combs, washcloths...etc. add an eyelet or make small holes at the bottom of the pocket to evaporate the moisture.

;

Sinks and steps:

You get variety of sinks with child friendly designs ranging from fish to butterfly, in most colours. Buy sinks that are made of solid surface composite material that cleans easily, and can bear any scratch or stain.

To help the little one reach the sink or a toothbrush, use steps with broad and stable base. Paint and decorate it with vibrant colours

Toys:

Kids love playing in water and it would be more fun with toys in hand. Bring home rubber froggy or a duck liquid soap bottle. That they can use it with smile every time they squeeze it. You can even keep some rubber toys in the bathroom for them to play with. You can watch them giving these bath and telling you exciting stories.

Safety:

Kids usually slip and fall when they step on the bathmat. Make sure that the bathmats that you use have a non-skid backing. Keep all the cleaning chemicals, hair dryers, shaving blades and medicines on an upper shelf out of reach of the child. You could also use childproof locks. Make sure that the bathroom outlets are equipped with ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI). This helps in preventing fatal shocks.

Most of the kids lock themselves inside, and in order to free them you have to go through a lot of strife. Door hardware with an outside lock will be handy. And the most important one would be cleaning the bathroom every week to minimize germs and bacteria.

Keep changing the designs so that they don't get bored of it. Their way of looking at things change as they grow up. Make your kids' bathroom a place for imagination, fun and playtime.
