World Earth Day 2023: 23 Ways To Celebrate Earth Day And Be A Better Earthling!
Earth Day is an annual event on 22 April that celebrates the planet's environment and raises public awareness about air, water, and land pollution. It was first celebrated in 1970 and is now recognised in over 193 countries.
The theme for Earth Day 2023 is "Invest in our Planet," to inspire the over a billion people who participate in Earth Day activities each year to take action in their own communities.

So, in the event of Earth Day 2023, let's take a look at 23 ways you can be a better earthing!
23 Ways To Celebrate Earth Day
1. Plant a tree: Planting a tree is one of the best ways to show your appreciation for the Earth and its incredible natural resources. Planting a tree helps the environment by providing oxygen, regulating the climate, and helping to prevent soil erosion.
2. Use reusable bags: Instead of using plastic bags when shopping, opt for reusable bags instead. Not only are reusable bags better for the environment, but they can help you save money in the long run, too.
3. Turn off the lights: When you're not using a room, turn off the lights and any other electrical appliances that aren't being used. This will help conserve energy and reduce your electricity bill.
4. Support local businesses: Shopping locally is a great way to support your community and reduce your carbon footprint. Look for organic, local produce and products when you're out shopping.
5. Take a walk: Leave your car at home and take a walk instead. Walking is good for your health and it also helps reduce air pollution.
Ms. Akshi Khandelwal, Founder & CEO, Butterfly Ayurveda says "As we celebrate World Earth Day, let us note that our planet is not just a place we live in, but a living organism that sustains us. It is imperative to understand the vital importance of living in harmony with nature and the impact it has on our health & wellbeing.
Respecting and staying attuned with the natural cycles of Earth, honoring our flora and fauna, we improve our overall health and reduce our impact on the environment while preserving Mother Earth.
This World Earth day, let us all take a moment to reflect on the impact of our actions on the planet and commit to making small yet positive changes that would help protect the environment and boost its growth. Choosing to walk instead of driving short distances, reducing single-use plastics, planting trees, consuming seasonal fruits and vegetables, adopting conscious ways to recycle waste are a few effective changes that can help protect our planet and create a sustainable and healthy future for all people of the earth and for the generations to come."
6. Buy recycled products: When you're shopping, try to look for products that are made from recycled materials. This helps to reduce waste and conserve natural resources.
7. Compost: Setting up a compost bin is a great way to reduce food waste and turn it into nutrient-rich compost for your garden.
8. Participate in a clean-up: Get involved in a beach or park clean-up event to help keep your local environment clean and safe.
9. Donate to an environmental charity: Donating to an environmental charity is another great way to show your support for the Earth.
10. Refuse single-use plastics: Try to avoid buying products that are packaged in single-use plastics. Instead, look for products that are packaged in sustainable, reusable materials.

11. Rethink your wardrobe: Recycled and upcycled clothing is becoming increasingly popular. Look for sustainable fashion brands that are dedicated to helping reduce waste.
12. Plant a vegetable garden: Growing your own vegetables is a great way to reduce your food miles and eat organic produce.
13. Take shorter showers: Taking shorter showers helps to conserve water, which is a precious resource.
14. Educate yourself: Learn about the issues that are affecting our planet and the ways that we can help to protect it.
15. Use eco-friendly cleaning products: Switch to eco-friendly cleaning products that are free from harsh chemicals and made from natural ingredients.
16. Choose sustainable seafood: When you're eating seafood, make sure that it's sustainably sourced and from a reputable supplier.
17. Invest in renewable energy: Investing in renewable energy such as solar and wind power can help to reduce your carbon footprint and help the environment.
18. Recycle: Make sure that you're recycling as much as possible to help reduce waste and conserve resources.
19. Plant a wildflower garden: Planting a wildflower garden is a great way to attract pollinators and help to conserve biodiversity.
20. Don't litter: Respect the environment by not littering and disposing of your waste responsibly.
21. Use natural fertilisers: Instead of using chemical fertilizers, opt for natural fertilizers like compost or manure to help nourish your garden.
22. Avoid using pesticides: Try to avoid using pesticides and opt for natural alternatives instead.

23. Ride your bike: Riding your bike instead of driving is a great way to help reduce air pollution and to get some exercise.
