Women’s Day 2023: Types Of Female Orgasms; How To Get One
Before we get into anything (no pun intended), let me tell you a story...
Andreas Vesalius, the Father of Modern Anatomy dismissed the assertion that the clitoris is the seat of woman's delight (as termed by Matteo Realdo Colombo) and added that the clitoris was an anomaly and simply does not exist in normal healthy women [1].
And it does not stop there - because it looks like the earlier male-dominated school of anatomy simply couldn't care much about the female anatomy.
English surgeon and President of the Society of British Medicine Isaac Baker Brown defined the clitoris as a source of hysteria (yeah right!) and epilepsy - because the symptoms of epilepsy are temporary confusion, loss of awareness & uncontrollable jerking movements of the arms, and legs (I hope you get where I am going with this).

He said it should be removed to cure hysteria and other forms of "female madness" (Oh for crying out loud!).
After many more similar, implausible claims and assertions, scientists and medical experts have thankfully backtracked and agreed that the clitoris is a real structure whose primary function is to facilitate sexual pleasure.
On this Women's Day, we would like you to learn about the different types of orgasms and experience them for yourself!
Types Of Female Orgasms; How To Get One
As a physical reflex, orgasm occurs when muscles tighten during sexual arousal and then relax as a result of rhythmic contractions [2].
The orgasm, or climax, also provides emotional release, as well as a physical release. In addition to the release of oxytocin during orgasm, skin-to-skin contact during sex also helps you to bond emotionally with your partner.
Did you know that people with a vagina can experience different types of orgasms that feel different in intensity and duration? Yes, that's right!
Types Of Female Orgasms; How To Get One
1. Clitoral orgasm
Located at the top of the vaginal opening, the clitoris is a small, nerve-dense structure that offers only sexual pleasure. If you have never had an orgasm, the clitoris is a good place to start.
How to have a clitoral orgasm: First of all, you need to identify whether you prefer direct or indirect stimulation, i.e., touching the clitoris directly or through the labia and clitoral hood. In order to begin, experts recommend rubbing the clitoris with your fingers (rather than a sex toy) in a spiral pattern around the clitoris [3].

2. G-spot orgasm
A G spot is the female equivalent of the prostate, and is thought to be located on the anterior (or front) vaginal wall of the urethral sponge.
How to have a G-spot orgasm: If you insert your middle finger into the vagina, you will feel a corrugated texture. Stop there and use a come-hither motion to stimulate or use a toy, rubbing or vibrating the area.
3. C-spot orgasm
C-spots are located in the cervix and around the uterus, and are associated with nerve endings. Surgical history and anatomical differences-i.e., a hysterectomy involving the removal of the cervix-can affect one's ability to engage in cervical orgasm, as can the size of a partner's penis.
In the case of a particularly well-endowed partner, heavy thrusting may be painful, so it is important to communicate with your partner about how you feel during cervical stimulation.
How to have a c-spot orgasm: Experts believe that the key to a cervical orgasm is the buildup. When you are very turned on, you have a greater chance of experiencing a cervical orgasm and experiencing pleasurable, rather than painful sensations at the C-spot [4].
4. Nipple orgasm
During the stimulation of the nipples, oxytocin is released, which causes contractions of the uterus and vaginal walls, resulting in an orgasm.
How to have a nipple orgasm: Experts recommend focusing on the pleasure and seeing where it leads [5].

5. Skin orgasm
A skin orgasm is also known as a frission, which is the tingle that runs up and down your limbs when you hear an affecting song. You may feel goosebumps, your hair may stand up, or you may feel a little shiver.
How to have a skin orgasm: In addition to music, emotional scenes in movies, moving artworks, or even people with whom one feels a special connection can trigger skin orgasms. However, the trigger can be unpredictable.
On A Final Note...
The clitoral orgasm is often the most accessible and favourite orgasm for those who have a vagina. However, what makes you orgasm can be highly individualistic.
So, don't be shy ladies! Experiment as much as you can!
