How To Make DIY Perfume For A Calming Sensation
The best fragrances don't just smell good, they make you feel good, evoke emotions, and bring back memories, and that's not something you can learn from packaging or advertising.
Experts suggest that adding some relaxing scents into your life can help you calm down and relax after a stressful day. Some people listen to music while others take a walk around the block to unwind.

How about if you could make these perfumes at home?
Yes, you can. Learn how to make your own DIY perfume to soothe your senses.
Perfume For A Calming Sensation: How To Make It At Home?
When it comes to making your own perfume, you may need to experiment a little. Your favourite aromas may change over time as well.
There is no need to worry about headaches when using DIY perfumes, but you may need to apply them a little more frequently due to the fact that the scents are lighter than those found in traditional perfumes.
Experts say that one fragrance is made up of three scent variants -
- 30% top notes - the notes you smell first.
- 50% middle notes - the core of the fragrance.
- 20% base notes - the notes that extend the duration of the middle notes.
If you prefer, you may also combine essential oils with your perfumes to create a fragrance that reflects your personal preferences.

- You will need two tablespoons of carrier oil such as sweet almond, coconut, or jojoba
- 6 tbsps 100-proof alcohol
- 2.5 tbsp bottled water
- 30 drops essential oils, i.e. 9 drops top notes, 15 drops middle notes, and six drops base notes
- A coffee filter
- Small funnel
- Two airtight dark glass bottles
Directions:
- Add the carrier oil to the bottle of your choice. Add the base, middle, and top notes. Add the alcohol.
- Put the lid on the bowl, and let it sit for 48 hours. The longer you leave it, the stronger it will become.
- After you have reached your desired consistency, add the bottled water.
- Using a coffee filter, transfer the perfume to another bottle.
- Because base notes are dominant, you should add them one at a time until a perfect balance is achieved.
- To make application easier, use bottles with spray tops.
Have fun with your new fragrance!
- For a calming effect, use the following fragrance oils: lavender, musk, neroli, cedarwood.
- Black pepper, cardamom, bay, fennel, geranium, chamomile, and nutmeg (essential oils) can be used for the middle notes.
- Use essential oils such as cypress, ginger, pine, sandalwood, and vanilla for the base notes.

On A Final Note...
There are many benefits of making your own perfume including saving money, avoiding harmful chemicals, customising your fragrance, and making it suitable for those with sensitive skin.
