As we get older, a lot of things change in our lives; we may get wiser through lessons taught, can be life experiences, we learn to enjoy the little things, etc., right?
Along with the good things, life also brings us a few negative things, as we age, such as age-related diseases.
Most of us may have seen our grandparents or parents suffer from certain ailments as they age, right?
This could surely make us fear ageing and also make us want to take better care of our health.
As we know, the heart is one of the most important vital organs of a living being's body. Without its proper functioning, a person can experience serious health issues and even death.
Even if the heart stops pumping blood for a few seconds, a person could experience immediate death.
Now, heart ailments can also be experienced by younger people; however, they are more common in people above the age of 45.

Some of the common types of heart ailments are abnormal heart rhythms, angina, weakened heart walls, hole in the heart, heart failure, cardiac arrest, etc.
Heart problems could either be caused due to an internal defect, or due to lifestyle issues such as unhealthy diet habits, lack of exercise, stress and vices.
When a person follows an unhealthy lifestyle, he/she could suffer from conditions like high cholesterol, hypertension, etc., which result in heart problems.
Stroke is another serious condition in which the blood supply to the brain ceases, due to the presence of blood clots in the brain, causing a number of dangerous symptoms and even death.
